Community Photograph Scanning Day
Historical Research Center 435 Rice Street, Murfreesboro, TN, United StatesThe Historical Research Center and Main Street Murfreesboro are hosting a scanning day event to scan photographs taken within the boundaries of the historic downtown district from the 1800's to 1980 that represent the following subjects: original downtown buildings and businesses, historical figures downtown at events such as parades, political ceremonies, activities, celebrations, etc. Also, photographs of downtown streetscape and building facade changes over the decades. There will be two scanning days, May 2 and May 9, from 10 AM to 2 PM. Scanning will take place at the Historical Research Center inside the Rutherford County Archives. If you want to keep a digital copy of your photos, please bring with you a hard drive or a large flash drive to hold all of your photos as they will not be provided.  All participants donating the use of their scanned photos to Main Street Murfreesboro for marketing and promotional purposes will be asked to sign a release form.
