Saturdays in the Garden with Master Gardeners of Rutherford County

Join us for a new season of Master Gardener events at Linebaugh Public Library. Saturdays in the Garden will take place every Saturday in March in the 2nd floor meeting room at 9:00 am.
March 2 – “Let’s Start at the Very Beginning” with Master Gardener Jennifer Salter. (A run-through of what you need to be aware of before you begin gardening, e.g. site assessment, your needs, USDA zones, perennials vs annuals).
March 9 – Soils and Amendments with Master Gardener David Vaughan. (What is soil, testing, and how to amend)
March 16 – Seeds and/or Transplants with Master Gardener Sarah Wade. (How to sow seeds, looking after transplants and more).
March 23 – Vegetables for Spring and Forward with Master Gardener Autumn Shultz. (What should I be planting at this time of year, and further out into the summer).
March 30 – Composting with Master Gardener Robert B. Blair (everyday composting for the homeowner)
