Step into the spotlight with Homeschool Players, an exciting class at Smyrna Public Library designed to enhance reading fluency through the magic of Reader’s Theater! This interactive program offers homeschoolers a unique opportunity to practice and improve their reading skills while having fun. Geared towards students with a reading level of 2nd-5th grade.
In each session, students will be introduced to a script or monologue adapted from popular children’s literature or classic tales. We’ll warm up with fun theater games and then at the end of class present our show. No memorization required!
Homeschool Players emphasizes teamwork and creativity, allowing students to collaborate and support one another while developing crucial reading skills. The program is designed to be both educational and entertaining, making reading practice an engaging and enjoyable experience.
