Drawn to the Library – A New Contest

National Library Week (April 6 – 12) is upon us, and this year’s theme is Drawn to the Library!

To celebrate, RCLS is excited to announce a new monthly drawing contest for our patrons. Every month, starting April 1st, we’ll put out a new prompt for local artists to submit their drawings to the library. Winners will be featured in a special 2026 RCLS Calendar. April’s theme is “Favorite Book Character”.

To participate, simply submit a drawing matching the monthly theme to ANY of our RCLS branches before the deadline. Please include your name and age (and a way to contact you if you want to know you’ve been selected).

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • This contest is open to all ages
  • You may enter a drawing each month
  • Paper is available at our branches
  • We will be accepting April submissions from April 5th through the 30th at any RCLS branch

Most of all, remember to have fun!

Keep an eye on our social media at Facebook and Instagram for future themes (or just ask your local librarian)!
