The Rutherford County Library System was well-represented during the 2019 Library Legislative Day at the Tennessee State Capital. Branch Librarians Kathleen Tyree (Technology Engagement Center) and Ginger Graves (Smyrna Public Library) were able to engage with several lawmakers and staff members during the day-long event on Tuesday, March 12, advocating for continued and increased support for state libraries and voting on measures that are important to our libraries and the people we serve.

Graves met with Senator Dawn White and Representative Mike Sparks (also pictured is Stewarts Creek High School Librarian Liz Hicks)

Tyree met with Senator Shane Reeves.
