TEC Offers Patio Lab as Part of Phased Re-opening
In accordance with the phased re-opening of the Rutherford County Library System, the Technology Engagement Center (TEC) is offering a Patio Computer Lab, providing public computer access Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning Monday, May 11, weather permitting.
To use a public computer at the TEC, park in the front lot and walk around the building to the patio. There will be instructions posted and computer stations will be spaced appropriately to ensure social distancing. We will begin with only four stations for safety reasons. Computer sessions may be limited to allow a maximum number of patrons to use the computers throughout the day. Patrons will pick up disinfected mice/keyboards upon entering the patio and drop off used keyboards/mice to be disinfected when leaving. Patrons are encouraged to avoid touching computer screens and advised to wear masks and gloves at the computer lab.
The TEC has other curbside services during this time: a Notary Public is available M-F (please call ahead) and any RCLS returns may be dropped off. There are also WiFi Hotspots and 8” Android tablets, that can be used as a WiFi hotspot, which circulate from the TEC. Call 615-225-8312 with questions or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
