  • Monthly Staff Goodies -provided once a month by individual FOSL members-started February 2017
  • FOSL members volunteer regularly to help shelf read, cut out crafts, clean, help with story time, programs, etc.
  • Paid approx. $800- materials and $10,000- labor for the Painting of the rest of the library -SUSL Project – 4/2017
  • $500 - Wal-Mart Grant– Summer Reading Program – May, 2017
  • $500 - Bridgestone Grant – Portable Puppet Stage – May, 2017
  • TLA/FOTL Friend of the Year Award – Large Library Winner -April 7, 2017
  • Book Cart- $442.39 April 2017
  • Members provided desserts for International Folk Fest Performers -June 15, 2017
  • United for Libraries Baker and Taylor Award – $1,000 check plus an engraved award -June 26, 2017
  • Little Friends Libraries -partnered with Ace Hardware, Crosslin Supply, Edward Waldron, & BSA Pack 380 to build and to place in the Smyrna Community 20 Little Friends Libraries
  • Phrase III renovations -Paid for the remaining flooring and installation- approx. $45,760; Moving books, etc. - approx.$29.630; Front Desk -approx. $10,000 -9/6/2017
  • $2500 -  MTEC Grant - to go towards the Front Desk cost – September 12, 2017
  • Presented a Little Friends Library to Smyrna Elementary -September 26, 2017
  • FOSL currently has 43 regular and 21 Lifetime Members with 29 actively participating in activities over and above their membership fee.
