To kick off National Poetry Month, Linebaugh Public Library will host a book signing for the release of N2WORDS. This is the first published book of poems by local poet Navita Günter. The signing will take place on April 6, 2019. Günter will be signing and selling copies of her debut book from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

With this release, N2WORDS will be the crowning jewel atop this Queen of Poetry’s crown. This collection of poetry will provide readers a look into the poet’s heart and soul as she transforms survival narratives into something greater than just another warning to tell.  As a duel survivor of cervical cancer and sexual abuse, by sharing her own past, audiences are met with a lyrical and moving example of just how universal shared experience can be.

Poet Navita has been writing about her life and the worlds of others for over forty years. Not only is she an award-winning poet, but she is also the founder and CEO of the Cervical Cancer Coalition of Tennessee. Because of her regal dress when attending public poetry readings and tireless work to help create a poetry scene, she became known as the “Queen of Nashville Poetry.” Now a resident of Murfreesboro, Günter continues to be a regular face at Poetry in the Boro and the Boro Art Crawl where she performs readings.

The author will be signing and selling her book for $7.95 each. Cash and checks accepted.
